Biography
Doctor in veterinary medicine, Danielle Beauséjour initially painted mostly in her spare time. Owner of a veterinary clinic, she also practices with passion horse riding in the discipline of classical dressage. Being owner of an equestrian farm, she shares a close contact on a daily basis with her horses and the nature all around her.
For her, painting represents an expression of the emotion related to the subject she paints and that is conveyed to each individual who views it. As a veterinarian, she retains an accurate knowledge of the animal’s anatomy so to portray a realistic reproduction of the animal body. However, at the end of the process, her paintings are not a full copy of a photo but instead reflect, as a whole, an artistic approach very personal to her.
The two facets of her art, the realism of the scientist and the emotion of the woman who lives in close contact with nature, merge together to pass on a luminous testimony of the inner life of the artist.
